Sorry to hear about him passing away. He was one of many that were true friends throughout my years at Montebello.

He will be missed by many many Montebello High graduates and others.

John: RIP brother. Returned your call last week but just got a voice mail. We go back a long way. Elementary school, the Rebels, when you were in Santa Ana I would stop by every month or so for a beer , worked on your coup you were restoring, keep your heat and air working, rebel lunches. You then moved to Colorado and a little far for a beer. Miss you John . Keep a couple of cold ones in the frig for me I will be seeing you soon.

John was my first cousin and we would meet up at  family gatherings and events at the Russian church from our young years. We ran in different circles in high school but remained cousins in protecting each other. Kept in touch over the years and I remember his greeting of “hey Cuz” every time we talked. Knowing John was a good Christian man makes this loss easier. Pray for his wife Mayna and the family. See you later John,

My deepest sympathies to the family especially Manya.  It's been a rough couple of years.  John was always there to help with all of our reunions and provided all the paper, envelopes and printing that we needed.  I remember when he was building his last hot rod.  He was like a kid in a candy shop.  I still have our reunion committee picture in front of it.  I also remember when he drove it into the Marriott Renaissance Hotel banquet room full throttle engine roaring.  People came running from every corner yelling TURN IT OFF!  ha ha ha

Great memories.  May he rest in peace and God Bless.
