In Memory

Frances Vilaubi (Domecq)

Frances Vilaubi (Domecq)

It is with great sadness that I report the death of Frances Vilaubi Domecq. Frances had an accident in her walker 9/13; she was seated in it, fell out and hit her head. She had surgery and she should have survived, but between her poor body, which had been through so much and the other problems she had been enduring, her heart just gave out. She passed on 9/22.

No word of a memorial service as yet.

Frances was one of my closest friends during junior high and high school. We were in band together and had so many good times.  It was I who received the call from her son Vincent this afternoon and we were both crying when we hung up.  There will be a rosary tomorrow and a funeral mass on Tuesday, in Porterville.  If anyone wants the details, let me know and I'll call Vincent.  May our dear Frances rest in peace. 💕

I am so sorry and saddened about Frances.  Always because of our heritage, I felt like we were family and I know she did too.  Frances's mom, Felisa and Frances' Dad along with my Grandparents, coming from Spain were members of the Spanish Society.  Frances and my cousin Blanche, my sister and I loved to dance at the spanish picnics,  we had so much fun from the time we were little girls. My sister and I never learned the dance they do in Spain called the Jota but Frances and our cousin could. We had such a great talk and visit at our 50th ... we chatted for hours thru out the whole weekend.  xoxo

Carole called me when she found out France's had passed. So sad for both of us. We called ourselves The Three Musketeers. Wonderful band years for us. Carole and I visited her in Porterville, Ca. In 1990, celebrating our 50th birthdays. Then more fun at the 50th reunion. She will always be in my heart.

What a sweetheart she was. Many fond memories of her darling smile, getting ready for halftime or parade. You ladies rocked, kept in time so us ole Rigettes could follow. Prayers for her family and peace for Frances..
