Carol J. Clymore of Waxahachie and a faithful servant of the Lord for 55 years, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 11, 2009.

Carol was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Montebello, Calif., to the late Elbert and Eva Brewer and graduated from Pacific Christian College in Long Beach, Calif., in 1965. She became the beloved wife of Raymond Clymore, also of Long Beach, on May 17, 1966. During the early busy years between teaching Sunday school, choir and leading women’s groups, Ray and Carol had three daughters, Laura, Leslie, and Lindsay.

The Clymores relocated to Waxahachie in 1982 and went to work quickly at First Baptist Church. Carol was soon a Sunday school teacher, involved in choir, Bible study leader and a past president of the Baptist Women. Carol served for several years as a major organizer of Waxahachie Mobile Meals.

Carol always went to work immediately at any church they attended to serve the Lord and to encourage others. Most recently at Waxahachie Bible Church, due to the ravaging illness of Alzheimer’s, with the pastor’s approval, Carol started her final ministry for the Lord, as a greeter. She hugged visitors and members alike, making everyone feel welcome.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard.

She will be missed very much by her husband, Raymond; her daughters, Laura Graham and her husband Sean, Leslie Majors and her husband John, Lindsay Marhold and her husband Scott; and her beloved grandchildren, Whitney, Taylor, Jordan, Madison, William and Caroline.

There will be a celebration of Carol’s life, acknowledging her positive influence on so many, at Waxahachie Bible Church at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, with the Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating.  Services will be conducted under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
